The National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) is an American nonprofit organization that provides counseling services for consumers. Established in 1951, the NFCC consists of a network of 106 agencies and 850 offices in the United States. The national headquarters is in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The NFCC provides Counselor Certification for nonprofit credit and mortgage counselors such as the employees of Consumer Credit Counseling Services.

Consumers who seek credit counseling contact the NFCC for assistance with their financial services needs, including credit counseling, bankruptcy, financial education, and housing counseling. The NFCC charges nominal fees to consumers for their services. The NFCC also offers a variety of publications, DVDs and other resources available to consumers and nonprofit organizations that can be ordered from its website.

The NFCC states that its agencies assist 4 million people annually, with member offices in every state and the District of Columbia.

In April 2010, the NFCC established a Spanish language website to serve Hispanic Americans. The NFCC also provides a Facebook page with the latest financial advice, informational videos and other resources.

NFCC agencies comply with operating set by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and are re-accredited every 4 years.
